What does the E mean after my carrier on the iPhone?
I have T-Mobile and once in a while a large E pops up after the carrier on my iPhone… What does it mean?
It is nothing to be concerned about.
Usually, you will see the type of signal next to the carrier. It can be LTE, 4G (HSPA+), 3G, and E. E means EVDO which is pretty much 2G, 2.5G. EVDO is very slow, don't expect internet to be on your iPhone with the letter E next to it. Other then that, nothing bad. Its just the type of signal on your device.
- What does this mean: Free Msg: Receiver unable to receive message - Message Blocking is active mean on iPhone's iMessage? I tried sending my friend a text and it replied with this. We haven't gotten into any fights and we hung out for hours recently. Has she blocked me?
- What does it mean if you buy an iPhone unlocked instead of with a carrier? That gets me so freaking confused. Like you can buy it with Verizon, AT&T, sprint, or unlocked… What does that mean?

- If I buy an iphone used from another carrier ad buy a sim card from my carrier will that work? I have an iphone 4s with virgin mobile and I want an iphone 5 but all virgin mobile phones are so expensive! I looked on ebay for virgin mobile nano sim cards and they are only around 2 dollars. If I bought one of these sim cards and a used iphone 5 from another carrier would it work with my carrier?
