What in the world is a book?

Just heard about it on a TV show. What is it for? Can I do one on my Macbook/Iphone?

Added (1). P.S IF I can do one on my Macbook/Iphone, does it work in the United Sates of America as that is where I live?

The sad thing is that even though you jest, there's a growing majority of children that wouldn't be able to answer this.

It's a magical thing humans use to have, most of the people describe it like an ipad, but just with one app, and because it was use so long ago it use to be really width, so that's probably why you can't find it in your devices, you could make one, but it in your case it would take couple year for make a decent one, you shouldn't worry though just keep using your apple products and you'll be fine

It's a thing invented by dwarf unicorns to help people get rid off all the stupidity in the world…

Something read only in the absence of TV and sleep…

Oh, ha, ha, troll. Just go to your local library, if you can read a road sign saying library, and ask to be shown some 'books'.

In the short story Django Maverick- 2051 by John Carnell, Django is a misfit who invents a "book" by printing off pages of a computer screen and taping them together end-to-end in a fan-fold arrangement. He thinks there may be a better way to do it, but his counsellor tells him he's wasting time again like always and he should try harder to fit in and be normal.

In 2013, books are still widely available and are useful for stacking up to get your monitor at the right viewing height. You can even get "e-books" which are thousands of factoids and information snippets all crammed together into a formless linear mass.
