What iphone (or phone) to upgrade to next?

Ok so my phone contract runs out on Monday and I need to get a new plan As soon as possible. IIm verging along iphone 5s and 6 because I take a lot of pictures and I currently have a Sony Xperia SP which has horrid camera quality. I also use my phone a lot during the day so playing games and I've looked at a few reviews on the iphone 5s and a lot of people mention is gets hot quickly? That is the last thing I want! Also, anyone who has an iphone 5s could you tell me if you like the size? IIm used to bigger phones and I haven't held an iphone 5s in a while but it looks too small for me to be happy with and looks too fragile which is why I want the 6. Any recommendation?

Added (1). Also if anyone has any other phone suggestions similar to an iphone with good camera quality front and back would be great!

IIm surprised that the Xperia SP has poor camera quality, I thought that was one of Sony s strong points. IPhone 5S is a good phone and does indeed have a good camera. The screen will probably be noticeably smaller, but I wouldn t say it is such a bad thing, rather a preference. It is also a lower pixel count than the 6, so it will use less power for both of those reasons. It isn't fragile, although the metal case will dent easily (same with the 6). If you want a robust phone that will take knocks, there aren t any anymore. The last one was the Samsung Galaxy S5. Everything now is either metal or glass which dent/shatter/scratch easily.

You could also consider Sony s flagship. There's the Z5 which has a 5.2" screen or the Z5 Compact which has the same size/resolution screen as your current phone. They both have a different and better camera to your current one (23 MP), much better processors, do 4K video, have larger batteries but will be pretty familiar being from the same brand.
