What is a good gift for a Sweet 16?

Its my sisters birthday on Sunday and she is turning 16. She is am amazing girl, very creative but I'm at a loss for what to buy her.

I do work for Apple so I thought maybe an iPad but she already has the iPhone 6 Plus and we all know how big that thing is.

I'm her big sister and I moved away from home recently. I know she misses me a lot and we used to spend a lot of time together and now we can't because I'm so busy with adult life… I want to get her something nice.

Any ideas?

Sentimental value is everything. And this does mark a milestone in her life. The decision is yours to make. You get her what you think is best. Don't take the internet a word for it. And, generally of course I need some information on what she likes.

I'm gonna just toss you a few ideas because I don't know what she has. A car for sweet sixteen would be awesome, but also out of alot of people's budget. Or maybe something priceless, like a necklace or ring with something on it that only the two of you would understand. Also mabey a tattoo that you get together, that like above… Only the two of you understands what it means. Get something that lasts a long time, something that stands the test of times. Just you posting this tells me you want her to remember what you have together. Think of something that will always remind her. Just typing out loud, but I hope it helps.

If you can, just take a day (it doesn't have to be exactly on her birthday) and spend time with her. Take her shopping and buy her a couple things, get her her favorite food, maybe go see a movie. If she's more of the outdoorsy person (which I'm, and I'm turning 16 soon and my older sister is an adult so I kind of understand), why not go camping? Just spend the day together doing fun stuff.

If, however, you really can't do that, that's okay too. Does she have a favorite store? But a gift card. Buy a pair of her favorite shoes. Make a scrapbook or a photo collage of your favorite memories. Buy her something silly that would relate to an inside joke. Get one of those "big sister" and "little sister" necklaces. Send her a big box of all sorts of goodies, including her favorite candy/snack. Or, if you're able to afford it lol, get her a really nice necklace or some other piece of jewelry. Like really nice.
