What is a NFC Business card?
NFC is a relatively new wireless communication protocol - it works with radiowaves similar to bluetooth but much more efficiently. NFC is much faster and uses (a lot) less power compared to bluetooth technology.
NFC business cards have a build in NFC chip that can communicate with smartphones ( the new iPhone 6 will be able to communicate via NFC and the Samsung/HTC phones can already communicate trough NFC)
The great thing about NFC business cards is that you can edit the info on the NFC chip yourself ( NFC app). If your phone number or address changes you simply update the NFC chip inside the business card.
And if you meet (potential) new clients, you simply tap your businesscard against their phone and they will have your complete contact information.
Near Field Communicate (means it has a chip in it when passed by a NFC device like mobile phones, tablets etc it accesses additional information be it a video or a web address etc they have them on some bus stops here in the uk
- Will the next iPhone be NFC enabled? I'm just wondering whether NFC capability will be introduced in the iPhone 5S when it is launched.
- What is a good app for a small business to keep inventory on? I sell things on the road and want to be able to keep an inventory that is accessible through my iPhone, iPad and home computer that would sync through iCloud. My one friends suggested the app "Numbers". I looked at it and it looked pretty decent. Have any of you ever used it? Do you have any other suggestions that could possibly help?
