What is better, the HTC One or the Iphone 5c?

I might get one a smartphone for christmas and i've narrowed down my choices to these two. Please don't say "its about preference' because i like them both the same but I want to know which one is actually better. Thanks

HTC One Is Better Then 5c

The iPhone 5C is way better then the HTC One, just for the fact that it runs on iOS and not Android makes it much more secure and user friendly.

Also, depending on where you live you could get the iPhone 5C for just 99$
