What is going to happen to my iPhone 3gs?
So I've heard the iPhone 3gs is going to be discontinued once the iPhone 5 is released.
I have read that they will be replacing the 3gs with the 4, but that was an American article.
But, what do they mean about replace… Are they replacing the handsets for everyone or is it just replacing the 3gs as the cheaper version?
Will I still be able to use my 3gs or will I have to get a new phone?

Yes your phone will still work. It mens that they just won't sell the handset anymore.

Apps will not be designed to work on them,
There will be NO future upgrade of the IOS
The selling price may have already dropped of the planet

Well now iphone 4 is free with a 2 year plan, so no reason to have 3GS. Existing ones will always still work of course.
They don't mean they are going to replace the phone your own!
They mean you will no longer be able to buy the 3gs in shops or from them and the alternative will now be the iphone 4 as that is the oldest and cheapest available iphone for purchase.
You can still use your 3gs and will be able to continue making calls, sending texts and using data like normal for as long as you want
No, they won't replace your phone, they are just no longer going to make the 3gs. Instead the cheapest iphone will be da 4
