What is it called when there are modern things in a story based in a past time?
Say the characters can have laptops and iPhone but are set in a medieval times. I have heard of it but I forgot.
It's called an "Anachronism."
I collect these in films. For example, in one scene of a film set in ancient Rome, the emperor Nero is wearing a wristwatch, and in a certain cowboy movie, as the good guy chases the bad guy on horseback, you can clearly see a bus moving down the road in the distance.
I love finding those sorts of things
- Would you go back in time even if you couldnt rewrite your past or tell anyone about the future? So if you were given the opportunity to go back in time to relive your past, yet you couldnt let anyone know you were from the future, and you couldnt tell them about things to come like iphones, new diseases, cures, jets, wars, lottory numbers, pregnancies, spouses, etc, would you do it? You also would not be allowed to rewrite your past either. Just relive it. Would you do it?
- Why aren't there any modern ghosts? It seems that in every report about paranormal activity, a woman was killed over forty years ago and people still claim to see her to this day. How come there are no reports of a ghost haunting an iPhone store, or something more 21st century-esque?
- What are those things called? There are these cover type things for newer models of iphones or ipods that have the different plug and they can go on top of the older plug. IIm wondering because I have a nice speaker that is for ipod 4th generation etc. And don't want to buy a new one. They kind of look like the end of a charger without the chord i don't know…
- What are them iphone things called? I want one of them phones which is just like a normal telephone which you attach your iphone. You place it on the slot to like a normal telephone so it makes you can use your phone like a house phone might sound really stupid but I have searched amazon and can't find anything?
