What is 'Next Destination' in Notification Center? IPhone5?

So I had the 'Next Destination' thing on but I didn't know what it was. For the first time, I saw in the 'Today' part of the notification center showing how long it will take to get to a certain location. Why does it do that? I don't get what exactly 'Next Destination' is…

If you're using GPS navigation, "next destination" roughly gives you an estimate of how long will it take you to get to wherever you're going, and it's there so you can conveniently see your navigation status without having to slide to unlock and access Maps.
