What is the best cellphone provider for this situation?
College student graduating in a year with no job and some money saved. Have iphone, but don't care about model except it has to have LTE other than that i'm fine with any model with it. Only use it for occasional calls and texts, but mostly daily browsing and reading via safari.
What would be the best provider for my situation? At the moment on my parents verizon plan, but not sure if verizon is the best for my situation, any suggestions?
Cricket, consumer cellular, T-Mobile. Any of the cheap carriers should do.
We really don't know.
Because I didn't expect to use my phone much
(a correct assessment, as it turns out),
in 2008 I went with T-Mobile prepaid.
It was then, and still is, the cheapest service available
(and crummy, too, but you don't get what you don't pay for).
Id say go with a Straight Talk phone, they have LTE such as the Galaxy J7 or LG Stylo 3 and others they have. You can get 35 unlimited plan monthly with their prepaid cards
As for the phone… If you want an iPhone, you'll be expecting to spend around $159 or more on the phone itself. If you're willing to venture into the Android marketplace, your phone choices are a bit more flexible & can as low as ~$30.
As for carriers… I'm assuming you want some form of unlimited data at the lowest price, so there's a few options.
* Straight Talk -- $35 / mo for 2 GB of high-speed data (before dropping to 2G speeds)
* Verizon Prepaid -- $30 / mo for 500 MB of high-speed data
* AT&T Prepaid -- $35 / mo for 1 GB of high-speed data (-$5 if you set up auto-pay)
Total Wireless is $35 / mo for 6 GB's of data w/ carryover, but they'll cut you off when it's exhausted. You can buy more data at $10 / 5 GB's.
If you're low usage, Tracfone can provide service for at low as $15 / mo, but you're limited to 200 minutes of talk time, 500 text & 500 MB's of data for 30 days. They do allow carryover as long as you keep your service active (so you can bank whatever you don't use).
Hope this helps!
