What is the best device for storing and playing music?
I have about 700 songs in my iTunes library on my work computer. I don't have a computer at home.
What is the best device for storing and playing those 700 songs?
I have an iPhone 4s, and there are about 45 of those 700 songs on it, but I don't understand the iCloud and what songs I actually have or don't have on my phone… Half of those 45 songs that are supposedly on my iPhone have gray dotted circles and/or exclamation point icons next to them don't even play when I want them to. The whole iCloud is super frustrating to me, and I can't even figure out how to just delete every song from my iPhone and iCloud.
So, aside from a smart phone, what is the best way to store and play my 700 songs?
Try and bluetooth (old way I know haha) the songs to another device or save them to a sim card and put it in another device
With a Cowon. Amazing MP3 player and amazing sound quality.
You can't transfer songs to a sim card by the way, as Helen suggested.
For long term storage, I'd copy them to a DVD-R. I've always done that and that way I can simply copy my entire library to any computer if I have to replace the one I have.
How much space does your music take up? I'm guessing about 2GB. You can store that on a microSD card and play that in any phone that supports those cards. My current personal phone is a Samsung Reality. It's not a smartphone but it does play music and video.
I've got an iPod and I don't understand iCloud. I never bothered to try finding out how it works because I never needed to. I've got plenty of room on my computer and my iPod. Why reinvent the wheel?
"45 songs that are supposedly on my iPhone have gray dotted circles and/or exclamation point icons next to them don't even play when I want them to"
On your computer? They don't play because they don't exist on your computer as they had when first entered into iTunes. When you see a song on iTunes you are only looking at the listing of the song, not the song file itself. If your song has been changed or moved, the listing stays in iTunes… But it won't play. So the question is, where on your computer are the song files.
" aside from a smart phone, what is the best way to store and play my 700 songs?"
A non-smartphone that plays music files. These have been around for years. In 2008 I had a Verizon Voyager that played music and video and it wasn't a smartphone.
- Will my jailbreak on one device transfer to another device via iTunes? So I bought an iPhone 5 today and I'm afraid to sync it to my Apple ID/ iTunes because my 8GB iPod is also synced to that iTunes account and its jailbroken. I don't want my jailbroken iPod to affect my iPhone 5. Will it affect it? I don't think it will but I just want to make sure before I sync it for the first time.
- What is a good iPhone app for storing my own recipes? I have found a lot of apps that will give me a recipe but I need one that I can store my own recipes.
- Storing Spotify music on iPhone for free? I have a Spotify account on my computer, and was wondering if there was a way I could sync my phone to this account without having to pay for a Spotify account but still keeping the songs on my phone. Sort of confusing, but thanks to anyone who can help!
- Storing pics on iphone outside of camera roll? Is there a separate place you can save photos that owuldn't be on your basic "camera roll" on your iphone? Like i have pics that i don't want with the rest of my pics if you catch my drift.
