What is the best FM transmitter?

I'm looking to buy a FM transmitter for my car, to use my iPhone in.

I have seen the GOgroove FlexSMART X2 Advanced (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003PPGOC0 but it looks rather unsightly to me, and I'm unsure whether it is actually good or not.

Could anyone please recommend one to me please? Any reviews would be good too - a top 5?

The ModifiedDog is pretty much correct. They're all about the same in terms of signal strength/sound quality/etc. Weak as heck. If you're dead-set on getting an FM transmitter, just buy the cheapest one you can find.

However, I strongly suggest stepping up to an FM modulator. It is a hardwired system that will work in ANY vehicle. Essentially, it's connected to your vehicle's factory antenna wire at the back of the factory radio. It tricks the radio into thinking it's picking up a wireless FM signal, but in fact it's a wired connection from whatever device you plug in. Installation is slightly more advanced than the transmitter (which is no install lol), but it's WELL worth it. Power, ground, plug in the antenna ends and run the wire to wherever you want. Done and done.

If you have the option of fm modulator, that's your best bet if you do not want to replace the stereo in your car.
But, I drive company vehicles while at work that I'm not allowed to modify in any way. I use a c. Crane fm transmitter 2 that has been 'hacked'. I get very little to no static at all.

  • What type of FM Transmitter should I purchase? I have a Griffin iTrip FM Transmitter at the moment but wires are somewhat exposed to due to having it for a while. Honestly there was tons of static and I want a better product this time. Any suggestions that are compatible with the iPhone 4? Griffin iTrip 2011
