What is the best tablet for me?

I know nothing about tablets, but my laptop is huge and I can't take it everywhere. I'm a college student and I have the IPhone 4S, I like everything it does but I want a large size, like a tablet. But I can't afford an iPad! I want something where I can watch netflix, access the internet, and take notes on. That's it, and the cheaper the better(college student remember.)
I just can't carry my 17 in 10 lb laptop around just to access the internet and my phone is just too small.

You may want to consider a factory refurbished tablet if cost is an issue. My laptop has been out of commission for almost a month. I'm using a refurbished ASUS tablet I purchased online from Wal-Mart for less than $250. I had considered a Samsung Note at slightly less than $300, but I didn't need all of its features.

  • Which tablet is best for me? - 1 I'm a student in 10th grade, and am buying a tablet to help with typing notes in school. I have an iPhone 5, but wanted something to play games on, watch videos, bring on long- car drives, browse the web, and as I mentioned type notes. I'm thinking of buying the iPad Air, iPad Mini, Surface 2 or Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.
  • What's the best tablet to buy just to watch HD movies and surf the web under 200? Tired of watching movies on my iPhone what's the best tablet to watch movies and surf the web on that's under 200.00?!
  • What's the best tablet out there right now? I'm thinking of getting a nexus 7, but I also saw the ipad mini and now I'm not sure. I already have two iPhones and heard the ipad mini is the same as all other apple products.
  • Tablet snapshots on the Tablet and iPhone? I'm not very tech-savvy guy, go please forgive me. But does a Samsung note 10.1-the 2013- snapshot consume more memory space than a iPhone 4 in general? Here are the dimensions(again I do not know what I'm doing) Tablet(Note) 10.1" widescreen 1280x800 WXGA TFT LCD 149 pixels per inch (ppi) iPhone 4 640 x 960 pixels, 3.5 inches (~330 ppi)
