What is the best way to remove moisture?

My iPhone 4s got wet. It's all dry now but the microphone is not working.

My theory is that it still has moisture in it. I already tried leaving it on dry rice for over 24 hours. It didn't work, the microphone still can't record so I left it again on dry rice.

Is there a more effective method to remove the moisture in the microphone?

I think that you need

There's a silica gel-based kitty litter product that is much better than rice for moisture removal.

However if the mic is borked then the mic is borked. By now the odds are it's as dry as it's going to get and the mic has just failed for good.

You have three options at this point.

1. Take it to the Apple Store's Genius Bar and see if they can swap out the mic (they were able to do it on my iPhone 3gs when it died).

2. Buy a new iPhone

3. Get a Bluetooth wireless headset and use it to make your calls as needed.

Try to leave it in a container with dry WHITE rice.
that will summon the magic asians and they will fix it for you.
