What is the easiest, fastest way to get AVCHD video onto a standard DVD?

Hi and thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I'm about to buy a Sony Cybershot digital camera (HX30) that takes video as AVCHD. Can you recommend idiot proof software that can take the videos off of the camera and burn them to a DVD? I don't care if the picture quality will be SD. I just want it on a DVD +/- R.

Also if the software can also convert iPhone videos to DVD as well, that would be great.

Use a Video Editing Program, that can work your AVCHD files and burn a DVD from the timeline. The program below can do that.

A program with over 2000 effects, easy to learn and can do things Windows movie Maker could never do. This includes burning a DVD directly from what is on the timeline. Mind you, it helps if you set a menu and markers up on the timeline to direct the menu, all of that is easily done with this program.
