What is voice control for on my iphone 4s for/?

I recently purchased the IPhone 4. Are you talking about the voice called Siri? If so she (the voice) will look up your phone contacts, send text messages, and even look things up on the internet for you. She (the voice) will get you the stock quotes and much, much more. Just ask Siri questions play around with it to get the feel of it. She (the voice) can be very helpful.

  • Siri/voice control on iphone 5 turning on randomly? Whenever I'm listening to something (podcast, music, etc.) siri will frequently turn on. I turned off siri and voice controll will turn on instead. I have had my iphone 5 for 6 months and haven't had any problems until now. Aside from scratches on the outside edges, there are no structural problems and I haven't dropped the phone at all.
  • My iPhone (3GS) randomly started playing a song and turning voice control on today? Today, when I was in second period at school, my iPhone randomly started playing a song from my library. In third period, while doing an assessment, voice control turned on. At lunch, I turned my phone off and took it out of my back and put it in my inside blazer pocket. It might be a new bag I started using today that caused the problem. I really want to know how to stop this so I can stop worrying. (;
  • IPhone voice control problems? This happens EVERY TIME I play music on my iPhone; it goes to voice control without me pressing anything! It's driving me crazy! I've literally hit play and just set it on a table, and it goes to voice control like 5 times. Why does it do this? And how, if possible, can I fix it? But it's so weird that this is also happening to my sisters iphone 4 at the exact same time. I have verizon btw if that helps at all
