What is wrong with my iTunes? - 1
I had my macbook stolen so I lost all my data unexpectedly (lesson 1- always back up your computer) but luckily I still had a lot of stuff on my iPhone. When I got my new macbook pro, I found a couple softwares to get all the music and playlists from my phone onto my new iTunes. So now there are 974 songs and 4 playlists on my iTunes (perfect!) when I try and sync my new iTunes with the iPhone, the pictures and apps sync no problem BUT the music does not. It is as if the old songs do not want to be removed and instead I have 1297 songs on my iPhone which are pretty much all duplicates that aren't in my iTunes library. I'm so confused, I just want my phone to sync with the new iTunes and ONLY take the 974 songs and the playlists.
Did you purchase those songs? Because if you did, you could just download them again from icloud and create new playlists.
"I had my macbook stolen so I lost all my data unexpectedly (lesson 1- always back up your computer)"
Lesson 2, Mac owners still don't think about their data.
"but luckily I still had a lot of stuff on my iPhone."
Unluckily, an iPhone doesn't transfer data very well compared to an Android. It would have been easier to back the stuff up from your computer.

lesson no. 3 - despite spending all that money on Apple hardware, MAc owners still don't know that you can put music on an iPhone w/o having to sync it. Using manual management, you can simply drag and drop the music from wherever on your new mac they currently are onto the iPhone tab on iTunes sidebar. I did that using my daughter's Macbook and her iPhone 5 (iOS 7). It works just like iTunes has worked for years using much older iPods on my Windows XP computer.
But you obviously are dead set on syncing, so go ahead…
Just import all the songs you have, then use a duplicate song finder (there are quite a few out there, but I prefer Easy Duplicate Finder) and use its sync feature to sync with your iTunes account and remove the duplicates once and for all.
- Why does iTunes say my credit card number is wrong? I have an iPad 2, iPod ( 4g ), iPhone 4.So it's been like a month since I couldn't get any apps. I've re entered everything and nothing still works! I've tried to do it from my laptop and computer but it still doesn't work. What can I do to make this work?
- Why do I get the wrong cover art from my iTunes to my iPhone? I download music from frost wire to my iTunes. On my iTunes it had the correct cover art but when it's on my phone the cover art from songs I've had that are now deleted are on the songs. I downloaded one song by dirt nasty and it gives me the wrong cover art from a song I deleted for ever ago. I even deleted frost wire and iTunes and downloaded them again but the problem still happens Help Please
- What the hell is wrong with iTunes? - 1 First off it deleted all my music off my iPhone. Now whenever I try adding music, the song just comes over grayed out and it says "Preparing to Update" and it won't put any of the music on the phone. What the hell?
- What's wrong with my iTunes Just downloaded iTunes 11 for my gateway laptop and the yellow red and green dots weren't at the top left? It's just a half shaded box. Not sure if its supposed to be like that but I need to transfer my music from my iPhone to my computer and don't know how to do it with this update.
