What Non-Smartphones are available in the US today? Sick of my iPhone?

It's been years since I've steeped into an AT&T store, ever since I got my first iPhone in 2010. Although I'm young, I'm becoming more and more disgusted with social media and technology, and need a little break.

I want to temporarily go back to having a flip/non-smart phone… What kinds of "dumb" phones are out there today? Are there any without a touch screen? I want actual buttons.

For the record my favorite cell phone ever was the Samsung Propel. Is it possible to buy it today? Are there any phones out there that are similar or is my only choice a Jitterbug (no thanks)… Clearly not a tech-person so I could really use some help Thank you!

Yup, there many phones that aren't smart at the at&t store.

That would be a TracFone. You can use it simply to call people and talk to them and check voice messages aka voicemail. You only have to pay for the phone once and it comes with a phone card for a minimum of 60 minutes and goes up to options as much as a year card with rollover minutes. A 60 minute card for this type of phone, made by LG costs only little over a 20 dollar bill. You renew every 90 days to keep your minutes. It's a good thing and much less costly than those smart phones.

You could always just use an old phone. Lots of people have older flip phones lying around, it wouldn't be hard to get a working one for free.

You can buy a samsung propel in decent condition off eBay for around $20-30 if you wanted to.

Just use a smartphone and stop using social media. It's your responsibility, not the phone's responsibility.

I had 2 TracPhones and they were just slightly more useful than two tin cans and a string.

We went through several Motorola flip phones and found them to be pretty easily stressed, the screen would black out and then you could not read texts or see which contact you were pushing.

One day three years ago we got 2 Samsung flip phones at Walmart for $12.88 ea and one came with a Bluetooth headset. I think it is called a Gusto. WalMart still has them. They are no contract phones with Verizon. They are still in service and working perfect after 3 years and we're not kind to them. They get a signal EVERYWHERE (that's Verizon) and they cost $35 / month to recharge.
Really, I work in a black hole and NO other person here (not ATT, Sprint, WalMart, nothing works here) but mine works well. I have everything except apps, and it never fails me.

I also have a Verizon Samsung Note 3 that I use as a PDA in my lab. It seldom gets a signal here but the little chepo flip phone has lots of bars!

Verykool make a flip phone call the Sunray i330. They are mainly for the US and South America. There's also the Alcatel One Touch 2010 which is quite a stylish clamshell phone, and the slightly larger Alcatel One Touch 2012. These are mainly for European users but there may be a US version. Samsung make clamshell phones, the C3590, and C3520.
