What parts are used from wet iphone?
I've noticed a lot of people that fix iphones still buy wet iphones for i don't know what reasons. I've been wanting to start up an iphone repair business as a side job for the mean time and i've been so curious to know what people do with wet iphones.
Do they have some parts you can use? Screen still work?
Sometimes the entire phone is salvageable.iPhones are incredibly well built and even after complete submersion in water the device will still function 100%.
Minimally the entire body; the front and back glass, the bezel, etc can be used. From my limited experience the camera, speakers and the battery can be salvaged as well depending on how long the phone was wet.
If the phone was not submerged and only the water damage indicators are triggered the entire phone can be used after being inspected. The indicators are simply warnings that there may be damage or damage could occur over time if the water is not removed and corrosion starts to destroy the metal in the electronic components.
To the average consumer a phone that has gotten wet is pretty much junk and are looking to recoup any money they can to replace the phone.
However, phones that do not appear to power up may actually have a fully functional mother board and only a bad LCD or a bad charging port that won't charge the battery and so on.
There's a large and growing market for used and damaged iPhones that is not going anywhere anytime soon.
- Would i be able to put parts from an iphone 5s in to an iphone 5? I was wondering i i could maybe interchange some parts from the 5s to the 5. The parts that i wanted to know if they would work are the sim tray, power button, mute switch, and volume buttons all from the 5s. So could someone please tell me if i could put the 5s parts in to the 5.
- Will iPhone 5 replacement parts prices go down? Completely ruined my iPhone 5 and it's a ridiculous amount of money to get it fixed. One guy said he won't even do the job because the prices are too high. How long do you think I will need to wait until the price is reasonable?
- Where to buy iPhone 4S replacement parts? I just got an iPhone 4S from a friend and it has a cracked screen, plus i think it could use a new lcd. So i'm looking for an LCD and Digitizer replacement. I already have someone who will fix it for 30 bucks. Where is the best place to buy the parts for less than $50? I just want parts that are quality and will not be any different from genuine apple parts.
- What parts would it take to covert an iPhone 4 CDMA to a GSM iPhone 4? Yes, I screwed up and bought a Sprint CDMA iPhone 4 on e-bay. I need a iPhone 4 GSM to work on my network. What would I have to replace to make the conversion? I'd love to tear this iPhone down and replace the needed parts. Already have the tools…
