What's the best camera for a college student?

I'm looking for a decent camera under $250 for college. I don't really like using my iPhone as a camera because the pictures aren't great. My main priority is low-light. I don't need a lot of features, just a good camera that takes nice pictures, especially in low-light. Right now I'm leaning towards the Sony Cybershot DSC WX150 (slightly above my price range) or a Canon Powershot 510.

In order to get really serious photos then you can never use a cellphone. Even though the quality is great today, it can never match an actual lens thats on a camera especially with focus and zoom. For just normally photos a cellphone is fine but not for serious photo taking.

I would go with Canon PowerShot SX260 since your budget is under $250.

it has full 1080p HD quality and 20x optical zoom. It also comes with an image stabilizer feature. It has good ratings and it will be good for both picture and video recording.

  • What's the best laptop for an incoming college student? I'm going to college this fall and I'm torn between a laptop like the dell xps 13 or the Macbook air 13'. I really like the touchscreen option for the dell, but I like apple products, even though I've only ever used an iPad and iPhone. I might use products like photoshop and blendr for fun. I'm so torn. Are MacBooks easy to get used to? Is a touch screen helpful? Which laptop do I get?

I currently have a smartphone (iPhone SE) that is badly cracked, and I've gotten the opportunity to get a new one, which happens to be, a dumbphone. I'm entering college in a few days, with a super high powered, functions I'll probably never use laptop, could I realistically survive in college without a smartphone? Please give the hard truth REAL details… Feel free to rant!
