What's the best iPhone Carrier?
I've been wanting an iPhone for quite some time. My mom said if I can find info on the best carrier then I could possibly get one. She has and unlimited individual plan for the iPhone 4S from AT&T. What will it cost to add a unlimited line to that? I also looked at an artical comparing AT&T, Sprint, Verison, and T-Mobile. The best one I saw was T-Mobile with the highest price at $70/month ($1680 over 2 years) unlimited talk and text, unlimited 4G LTE data. Is there anything better than that? Would it be better to have a Family Plan with AT&T. Or should choose something entirely different.
NOTE: I would like an iPhone 5. I also refuse to use sprint due to the fact that they took down half their towers in my area of the country.
AT&T is the best crrier for iPhone5, sprint is the worst, it has very bad and slow Internet.
I think the best is whoever from the big 3 or 4 has the most coverage in your area or where you travel the most.
Anne - couple issues to consider:
1. Monthly plan wise - T-mobile always has the best deals. It's $99 down for 16gb model rather than $199 at other carriers. And their monthly plans are the cheapest too.
2. Coverage - T-mobile is notorious for bad coverage. Verizon is argubly the best - but that definitely varies by where you live.
3. International Travel - will you be doing any of this? This gets a bit technical but AT&T/T-mobile gives you A1428 models but Verizon gives you A1429 models. Basically if you do travel, you can still use 4G/LTE in most European/Asian countries with a Verizon phone, but you can't do that with an AT&T/Tmobile phone.
4. Resale values - Verizon phones fetch marginally higher prices than AT&T phones (see attached article for places to sell them), and Sprint phones are the worst.
