What's the best sim card for using iPhone 5S around Europe?
So I'm going to Europe in a couple of weeks and was wondering what my best option if for using my phone. I'm travelling through Italy, Austria, Czech Republic & France. Additionally, would I require a new sim card in those countries to avoid roaming charges or aren't then any in Europe for european sims?
Also, it's an iPhone 5S so I need a micro sim… Will that pose an issue? Can you buy sim cards at the airport in Rome?
O2 offer certain cheap european deals, I'm on Vodafone which is a rip of. But when travelling there's no cheap way as every country requires another sim.
I use skype and just ring when I'm in hotel or hostel which always have Wi-Fi. You can just use your sim ( contract or credit) as a back up when you can get Wi-Fi.
But when on Wi-Fi both skype and Whatsapp are ideal!

- Do iPhones by Sprint work in Europe with another carrier s SIM card? I have an iPhone 4s and I'm currently under contract with Sprint which uses CDMA technology, but it also lets you use GSM in Europe. I'm aware about the fact that you can use it with a Sprint's SIM card over in Europe, but the roaming charges are outrageous. What i would like to do is, once my Sprint contract expires and i go to Europe, I wanna be able to use another carrier's SIM card. Is that even possible?
- Changing from normal sim card to iPhone 4 sim card? I'm an AT&T customer with a smart phone. I'm wanting to buy an iPhone 4 but I know they take smaller sim cards than normal phones. If I buy an iPhone from an individual, can I take it to AT&T and have them give me a smaller sim card & transfer my information? Would I have to pay extra for it? Is it even possible?
