What's the difference between iphone 4 and iphone 5?

Iphone 5 has a slightly bigger screen, much faster, better camera, updated OS, same design but with a few changes, but other than that, I'm not sure what else.

IPhone 4 is 3G and has 200mb. IPhone 5 is 4G and has 3072mb.

IPhone 5 is bigger, and has a bigger camera… Nothing special really.

There are some pretty significant differences between the three phones.

When it comes to the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S, the iPhone 4S has a faster processor and an improved camera. The iPhone 4 uses Apple's A4 chip while the 4S uses the A5 chip, which, according to Apple, is twice as fast and offers seven times faster graphics.

In tests, the iPhone 4 received a Geekbench score of 360 while the iPhone 4S scored 623.

In practice, I can tell you that the iPhone 4S is a lot faster than the iPhone 4 when it comes to loading games and processor intensive apps.

If you like to take a lot of photos with your phone, you will also notice a significant difference between the cameras of the two phones. The iPhone 4 has a 5 megapixel camera while the 4S comes with an 8 megapixel camera, and the 4S also offers 1080p video recording.

When it comes to form factor, the iPhone 4 and the 4S are nearly identical, but power wise, the iPhone 4S is the much better choice.

With the iPhone 5, there's a total redesign as well as a huge performance boost. The iPhone 5 is thinner, lighter, and taller. If you hold an iPhone 4 or 4S after holding an iPhone 5, the latter two feel like bricks. It turns out that an ounce of weight makes quite a difference (the iPhone 5 weighs 3.95 ounces while the iPhone 4 and 4S weigh 4.9 and 4.8 ounces, respectively).

The iPhone 5's screen is both a half an inch larger and comes in at a higher resolution. The iPhone 4 and the 4S are both 3.5-inch phones with a 960 by 640 resolution while the iPhone 5 has a 4-inch screen with an 1136 by 640 resolution.

You will find that the iPhone 5 performs much faster than both the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S. It has the A6 processor, which again, is twice as fast (both CPU and GPU) as the previous A5 chip.

In practice, this performance boost is noticeable. Websites open faster, apps run quicker, and most significantly, the camera application starts up much more rapidly. There's a big difference between the speed of the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S, and even more of a difference between the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4.

When it comes to the camera, the iPhone 5 is similar to the iPhone 4S, so you won't notice a lot of difference there, but it does have an improved front facing camera. 1.2 megapixels with 720p video, compared to the VGA-resolution photos and videos of the previous iPhones.

Apple's iPhone 5 also offers LTE, which is a major reason to choose the newest phone over the older ones. If you live in an area with LTE, you will notice a speed boost when using data, though if you don't have LTE, the difference will be less pronounced.

While the iPhone 4S is still a viable phone, the iPhone 4 is on its way out. It will be noticeably sluggish when it comes to more processor intensive apps that were designed for newer phones, though it will run them. It won't be long, though, before developers have to leave the iPhone 4 behind when creating apps for the iPhone 5 and the newest iPad.

In short, the iPhone 4 is a lot slower than the iPhone 4S, which is slower than the iPhone 5. You can see a complete comparison chart on Apple's website: Compare
