What's the newest iOS an iPhone 4 can run without being laggy and glitchy?

I deliberately stuck at iOS 6, because it works perfectly well and because iOS 7 offered no additional genuine benefits.

I'm very pleased that I did as iOS 7 effectively killed loads of iPhone 4 handsets when frustrated users changed to different models rather than wait months for further updates which made iOS 7 just about bearable on an iPhone 4, and absolutely fine (though still slower than iOS 6) on the iPhone 4s which has a faster processor.

IOS 8 legally should work fine. If it doesn't you can tell Apple or wherever you bought your phone and they should be able to replace it (as long as you have a decent warranty - I think iPhones generally come with an automatic pretty long one)

Why would you still be using 4 when 5C is free on a new contract and thats a big upgrade over 4?

  • Why is iOS 7 way too glitchy? When iOS 7.1 come out? Since i updated my iPad 3 and my iPhone 4 to iOS 7 My iPad and iPhone has been glitching too much and it is too annoying sometimes my iPad and my iPhone crashes then the apple logo shows up unexpectedly and my iPad and iPhone lags at times. When apple release iOS 7.1? Btw all my apps are update for the iOS 7 All my apps except for few (like whatsapp) are optimise for ios 7
  • Why are apps being glitchy? I was just on my iphone looking at something and my apps that appear on my home screen. When you click them they turn into a shade color. Well I wasn't cocking any app and it turned black by itself and started doing that to other apps also. Is my phone hacked or what is wrong with this thing?
  • Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
  • IPhone 5/iOS 6 (newest one) can you see who views your twitter? I have an Instagram and no twitter but I looked at a guys Instagram and his twitter and so can he see if I looked at it? Like thru Instagram? Even tho I don't have a twitter can you still find out? And also can you since it's the new iOS 6 on an iPhone 5? Like can he see I viewed his twitter from my Instagram account?
