What's up with these new iPhones/Apple keynote?

I heard iOS 7 comes out on the 18th and I can't wait. But what's up with these new iPhones? Did apple introduce both the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C? What's new with them? Are they not making regular iPhone 5 's anymore? I know Apple isn't making the 4 's anymore. What else new came out in this keynote?

I'm an Apple fan and just curious. Currently have an iPhone 5, 2006 Macbook, and an iPad 2. Recently just sold my 4th gen iPod touch.

New ones are coming out

It's not that Apple isn't making the old iPhones anymore, it's just for the most part these phones aren't different from the iPhone5 with the exception of a few key features, most of which are invisible to the users.

For iPhone 5S, it will have faster chips, a better camera, a gold body and most importantly instead of a password it'll have thumbprint recongizition.

For iPhone 5C, they're simply shoving the body into a plastic mold instead of the aluminium it traditionally has. This will reduce the price of that particular iPhone.

There's some other stuff I'm sure, but those are key.

What do you mean what's with them? Its not rocket science to figure it out, its a new phone.

Yes, the 5c & 5s were announced yesterday.

The 5c is basically the 5 with a plastic back
The 5s has a new 64-bit A7 processor, M7 motion processor, improved optics/camera, graphics processor & fingerprint scanner
The 5 was discontinued, replaced by the 5c

  • Where can i watch Apples keynote 2013? The iPhone 5S and many other apple products are just a few days away. I'm very eager to watch the presentation for the upcoming iDevices where can i watch the 2013 keynote live on September 10 last year apple didn't live stream so i don't think their an option. BTW is anyone else as excited as i'm for the iPhone 5S
  • On Ebay, these carrier specific iPhones did their contract expire? I'm not from the US and is a bit lost. On Ebay you can find "AT&T, Verizon, Sprint" etc iPhones. How did they get like that? Did the owner purchase it on contract for $199 for example, and has now switched their phone on the same contract and is selling the old iPhone? I don't know how this works.
  • If the iPhone 6 keynote is September 9th, can I buy it that day? If I wait outside of Best Buy or Verizon, etc… On September 5th, overnight, once they open in the morning would I be able to purchase the iPhone 6?
