What's your position on Apple being forced to making it possible to open locked iPhones?

Apple will have to create a new operating system to open locked iPhones.

Do you think this should be done?

Would you sacrifice the security of your phone and other peoples phones for this reason?

Added (1). The worry is not about THEM getting into your phone… Geez. Of course not. Lol It's about it now being possible for it to happen which means OTHERS may possibly be able to. As of now, APPLE can can crack your phone.

Added (2). Note: They would be rewriting the operating system to enable 'hackability' basically. They're not hacking this phone individually.

Added (3). They are not currently able to hack anyone's iPhone. The operating system (which you will also download eventually) would be rewritten in order to enable phones to be hacked, broken into by other people besides the government eventually.

It was ordered to do so by a Judge, to crack a phone that was NOT owned by the person, but was owned by a government. The person in question is now dead, as are many others.

Here's a perfect example of trading personal freedom and privacy for government protection. If Apple were to do something like this, then they would be acknowledging that it was hackable -- and it would prove hackable to the private sector in a matter of months if not weeks. It would make the Fox News Corp British phone hacking scandal look like a jaywalking citation.

Why do people think it's even possible to crack encryption?

I think Apple should sell consultants to the government to attempt to crack any encryption they like, and also to design even tighter more impossible to crack encryption. Bill them to make it even more impossible than it is now.
