What should I do with my iPhone 5 that won't turn on?
My phone shut down today and never turned back on. I tried to force restart it, which did not work. After this, I tried to connect it to a charger. This is where it got a bit crazy. Once connected to the charger, the black screen with a dead battery showed. Then, the white screen with apple logo appeared making me think all was going to be ok. Then, after exactly ten seconds the screen turned black immediately. I took the phone off the charger, tried again in about thirty seconds, and I had the same result.
Leave it charging for about six hours and then see what happens.
What you've described so far is a totally flat battery so until you've eliminated that simple possibility as a cause it's not certain there's any fault at all.
