What should I do with my new laptop, I'm starting to have doubts?

I know you haven't seen me in forever. So I got a new Macbook Pro for Christmas this year, I've wanted it forever. But now that I have it, I'm not impressed. It can do everything my Dell can, and my Dell even has a little more, except iMovie, which is the main reason why I got this laptop. But I'm confused with iMovie, it's harder than I thought and I realized I will have no time to make videos anyway due to school. I thought this was all I ever wanted but my Mac is just really confusing. And on my Dell I have Open Office which has all my stories that I write, one I'm working really hard on. But I have no idea how to get Open Office on a Mac, and if I do get it, how can I retrieve my stories that are on the Open Office on my Dell? And on this laptop, I have to sign into my YouTube account obviously because the laptop is new. And I totally forget my YouTube password, and the text that will allow me to change my YouTube password isn't sending. I have an iPhone 5 that I use all the time, and I'm really afraid that this laptop will go to waste. But I'm too shy to say I want to return it, and if iMovie was easier, I would keep this thing in a heartbeat. But iMovie isn't easy, it's hard. At least it is now. Can you ask classmates or the store staff to help you. If you really can't get used to it, then return it fast. I don't know if you can use a memory chip to transfer your stories. Can you try the search answers feature on the site to sort it out. Give yourself some time to sort it out and if you can't figure it out, and no one can help you, then I would return it this weekend because lap tops are very expensive. I would try to research some tech support. Stores have free tech support staff too, I would call them.
