What the black dot besides the earpiece of the iPhone 5 white?
I noticed that the iPhone 5 white has the camera on top, but what's the black dot besides the earpiece?

Proxcimity sensor, to turn off screen when you put it up to your ear.
This is the Proximity Sensor, previously located on top of the ear piece on models such as the iPhone 4/4S.
It is more less prominent on the Black model because it blends in the the black glass, while it is a lot more visible on white. This isn't to say that it is completely hidden on the black model, because when shining a light onto the area you can see a faint lens under the glass.
- Where is their a random black dot on my camera So when i take a picture their will be a black dot and when i take one of myself their will be one on my fave. It is really annyoing and i don't know what it is or how to het rid of it. I bought an iphone repair kit to open my back to clean the lens but that didn't work.
