What to do on a longhaul flight?

I'm travelling from London to Dallas, Texas and then connecting from Dallas to go to Alabama.

So that's a 9 hour flight to begin with. Then 2 hours to wait while connecting, then another 2 hours on the plane.

What do I do for all that time?

I have a Kindle, Laptop, iPhone and iPod. But I don't believe there will be any power supply as I'm flying economy class. (British Airways)

Is there a different way to charge my devices?

You will need to check on the website of the airline you are travelling with. For example, American Airlines have sockets on selected rows in the main cabin and BA seems to have some facilities on their newer planes. Whoever you fly with, there will be a TV screen and films to watch to while away the time.

That route will probably be Flight 1504 which is operated by American Airlines and you'll be travelling on a Boeing 777 which has AC power on all seats along with personal TV with a choice of around 100 movies, TV programs and music albums. Take a decent pair of headphones and you won't be bored.

Depends on the plane itself but last time in economy for british airways there was a USB port which I used to charge my Ipad while I used it!

You have 4 electronic devices - even if they only have 90 minutes of battery life each, that's 6 hours. You can recharge them in Dallas waiting on your connection.
The plane has an entertainment system - watch couple of movies.
You eat twice on that flight (I've flown it several times) - even if it's not a banquet, the food service is a distraction.
And if all else fails, there's a new high tech entertainment device that never needs charging: A BOOK.
