What will happen for selling a stolen Iphone 4s?

That my brother truely didn't know was stolen because he sold it sf or a friend I'm asking because he has to wait till the 20th to see an attorney just don't wanna be in the dark he has only one other misdemeanor state Nc

IPhones can be tracked so its better if you call someone from the contacts saying you found it and give it back before you get in a trouble

He'll be charged with handling stolen goods. Whether he gets found guilty or not is another matter which there's insufficient information to offer any speculative opinion upon.

It really beggars belief that he didn't know, or at least suspect, it was stolen. There's also a principle in most countries similar to the UK's "theft by finder" which recognises that if someone finds lost property and fails to hand it in to the proper authorities then the finder is guilty of theft; I only mention that as most people selling shady items which turn out to be stolen typically claim that the items were "found".
