What will happen if the black part behind my iPhone screen is scratched when the iPhone is apart?

So I was going to replace my iPhone screen but we realized that we ordered the wrong thing so while my phone was apart I was putting the 6 acres back together that's on the left and right side of the screen and the black part got scratched and when I turn the phone on there's a bunch of colorfully lines and I can't use the phone. Is that scratch the reason the lines are on it like that?

Yes, the scratch is the reason that there are lines there now.
There's the screen, it is clear glass, nothing else. You scratched the actual display, you scratched the part that shows that the phone is doing.

The scratch is probably messing up the sensitivity of the phone and the pressure from the screen, on the scratch, onto the inner workings is causing a malfunction in the display image, so yes it's causing the colours

That, or you put it back together wrong

  • Liquid behind my iPhone screen, how to fix it The other day I accidentally spilt air freshener oil on my phone, and the oil has got behind the screen, so when it's on a white background, you can see where the oil is! I've tried putting it in rice but it hasn't worked. The phone works fine but the speaker is slightly damaged. It's on the top of my phone. It's an iPhone so I can't take it apart, and also it not water it's oil so will it dry! Shall I use a hair dryer?
