What Will Happen To My iPhone If I Update It To iOS 6, While Jailbroken?

I have an iPhone 4S, and it has a Gevey Sim and it is Jailbroken, the phone is originally from Sprint, and I have Cydia, If i update to iOS 6 what will happen will my phone service stop working or what will occur… Thanks!

I'm in the process of doing just that right now i can tell you right now, You will in most likely get the same error i did. That the idevice is not compatible with that ios build. I think we most likely get this error because our devices are jailbroken or because of the edited hosts files pointing to cydia instead of apple to allow the update. Simple work around is to put your device into DFU mode. And restore and update. It will update then. Be forewarned though, this ios is fresh off the press and there's no jailbreak, no cydia available… Yet so if you update now, you will loose all apps you got through cydia and installous until one is available and knowing the devs out there i give it a week if even all that time is needed. The betas where hacked pretty quickly so its all about patience.

Youll just have to re-jailbreak it again.
