What would cause a computer monitor to turn on by itself?

Okay, at night when I'm working my bosses computer screen will suddenly turn on. I have not moved it, it wasn't an earthquake, there was NO movement whatever and it will just turn on! I have a theory that he is logging into his computer using the (Log Me In) software from home in order to access the security DVR program on the office computer to SPY ON ME… Now, for anyone using this program does the computer screen on the oposite end turn on when the program is accessed from say a iphone or other computer? - please note, the mouse is NOT moving, the screen remains still with his previous icons, work, windows etc on the screen but no activity - my question is WHAT WOULD CAUSE THE SCREEN TO TURN ON BY ITSELF? I know this doesn't happen on my home computer and I know my boss is a freakin spy… Let me know what you think? Also I usually turn off his computer when this happens thus ending his log me in session lol please help, i'm tried of wondering if I'm being spied on

My computer screen is a LED.
I have not seen a setting for it to just turn-ON.
There are email programs--but the screen doesn't need to turn on./
Windows Update Service can operate automatically.
If your boss is a IT Professional.
His computer may be using some old style computer console to scan the computers in the network--for updates and fixes.

  • Which reason would cause an iPhone to go to 'user busy'? I attempted to ring somebody and it rang a good few times - possibly 4-5 - but then said 'user busy'. Does this mean they were on the phone to somebody else or could it be a poor signal, or another reason?
