What's a factory unlocked iPhone?
I wanna know what it is and can I hook it up through a prepaid company?
A factory unlocked iphone means that it can be used with any company that uses sim cards such as att&t, and T-Mobile and many others.No, I don't think you will be able to set it up with a prepaid company because they don't use sim cards. Hope I helped (;
Factory unlocked iPhone can be used on any gsm network as stated here before like Tmobile & AT&T. What was wrong was yes it can be used on a prepaid service. Tmobile & AT&T both have a prepaid service they have like a day to day basis or monthly no contact service. Just talk to the service with it & they will have your phone working in no time. You will need to get a prepaid simcard with the service.

I want to get an iPhone 4S and my friend has the iPhone 4 unlocked but i'm worried that if i get it non-factory unlocked it won't work. My uncle tried to do it a couple of months ago and apple said that if it was factory unlocked every time the phone shut off or died it would reset.
