You are going to get a multitude of answers based on what each person owns, which features someone prefers and what each person does with their phone. I personally think for apps, your best bet is still iphone simply because they've had more time to develop their apps. However, droid is definitely catching up. Overall operating system, they are both at about the same point. Either way you go, there's definitely going to be things you love and things you hate. As far as opinion goes, I love my galaxy which runs on an android system.
Lol I love how you asked this because of me: P I have had iphones iPods droids Samsung phones I've had them all. Android is better because its not restricted, you can do far more things. Not only that all expensive android phones have much better specs than the iPhone and the screen is bigger and has more pixels. Anyone who says iPhone is better is simply ignorant to the mobile computing world.
Droid because you can download apps from anywhere you want, not just apples app store.
