What's the difference between an iPhone 5, 5S and 5C? - 1
What's the difference between an iPhone 5, 5S and 5C? I'm looking to buy an iPhone 5, 5S or 5C? What's the difference and what one is better? And are the any other phones better than one of the iPhones? If this helps i'm looking to buy a phone on 02.
The 5 was the original iPhone 5. The 5c was released a year later and is functionally identical with only a change to the external casing which became a polycarbonate shell. The 5s was a big upgrade and in most respects has almost all the features of the original iPhone 6. It has almost the same casing as the original iPhone 5 but the distinctive differences are the rear camera flash which is a two colour LED slot and the fingerprint scanning home button. The 5s also had a much faster processor, a far better rear camera (which was reused on the original iPhone 6) and had a larger storage capacity of up to 64GB.
If you're going to buy one of the 5 series then the best one is the 64GB iPhone 5s. The 5 and 5c are effectively just larger screened developments of the earlier iPhone 4s with a slightly faster processor.
Whether there are better phones depends upon your personal preferences and needs; as one example all iPhones are capable of handsfree Bluetooth voice dialling (as are all Windows phones and most BlackBerries). To date, no Android model is capable of that without additional accessories. But Androids are highly user-customisable to a greater degree than other systems and many owners like that.
If you like that iPhone size and design, look in to the SE, I'll only compliment the other answer, as he already explained most of it. SE>5s>5>5c.
The 5c is last in my opinion due to its plastic shell and various hardware related issues I've read like faulty Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and even the clock restetting. The 5 is discontinued so it's doubtful if you'll find a new one but if you do it's a very good phone, I had one last year. The 5s is the best of the three, has Touch ID and a 64 bit processor, it's faster and will be supported for longer.
The SE shares the design of the 5s but under that shell it has an Apple A9 processor, same as the 6s so it'll be really fast, faster than a 6 or 5s, has always on Siri, 4K recording with its 12mpx sensor, Apple Pay. It's almost a 6s mini, but lacks 3D Touch, 2nd gen Touch ID, 1.3mpx front camera in comparison to the 5mpx on the 6s, same screen as the 5s. And the best part is that it's sold for cheaper than a 6, which it beats except in size.
5S or C because they're will go longer because the 4S is almost as good as the 5
- Why is there a huge price difference between 8gb iPhone and 16 and 32? About 6 months ago(so maybe my information is dated) I got a IPhone 4 8 gb with the one dollar upgrade with ATT. I was wondering why I could get 8gb for a dollar and if I remember right the 16 and 32 were several hundred dollars. Why is this when you can get a micro SD 32 Gb card for 20$?
