When a new iphone comes out, why are people dumb enough to buy it?
Its always the same features and operating system. I just don't understand

If you're rich, then it's affordable.
It's not just iphone it's android too. They purposely hold back a single feature or two that they would have no problem in giving in the previous model for the sake of introducing a new model It's a clever way to market. Minor facelifts with the same components over and over
They keep doing it which means they are making money which also means a large section of people are falling for it
They gotta buy it otherwise theyll have nothing to talk about, nothing to have a conversation over with their fake friends, they have to prove to the friends they are "cool" cause they have the latest device, bacially its dumb people with no real problems or too much free time on their hands.
Everybody wants to brag to their "friends" that they have the latest device. There hasn't been any major technological improvements to smartphones for at least five years so there's really no reason to buy a new phone unless your old one breaks.
I don't know why? Maybe TV commercial sound so cool that everyone falls for this!
There are those that like the phones and want to always have the latest one released.
There are those upgrading from other brands to go to the latest one released. Same for those upgrading from much older generation of iPhones to the latest.
And there those that can afford to pay full price, without needing to make monthly payments to buy a phone that cost more than many people make in a month, once expenses are deducted.
And then there are those that will go into debt, to have the latest and greatest just so they can show it off.
And I suppose you think You are "smart" because you Don't buy one.
If no one ever bought the newest version, what would happen?
Don't be too hasty about an answer to that.

I don't often buy the latest version of things myself.
My 1996 TV is still going strong and may never be replaced.
Because its not the same features of course. As far as the operating system, well yea it is the same one of course, but also enhanced over time.
If you went with the core of that argument then the same could be said of Android phones, Windows phones, etc. They all run the same operating system year in year out.
- Would you say waiting 2 weeks outside store to buy an item is dumb? Example - waiting or camping to buy an iphone. - waiting outside for the black Friday event. Is it worth it? Let's say your per hour at work is $7. That 56/day. $280 a week. $560 in two week. So if you missed work for those days that 560 in loss.
- Will the iPhone 5s run out of stock the first day it comes out? Startguessing everybody! And if sp, How long do you think we have to wait till they stock more up in the shelves?
- Why is no sound coming out my iPhone. The only sound that comes out is the ringer or when I have headphones hooked up? I have a iPhone 6s. And I recently noticed that no sound is coming out my iPhone. The only sound that works is my ringer and when I have headphones hooked up. My phone is updated to the IOS 12. I tried cleaning out my headphone jack and speakers and it's still doing it.
- Was I dumb to buy the iPhone 5? Apple haters get lost I bought it yesterday and I LOVE IT I upgraded from the iPhone 4 but I remember how the 4s came out and made the iPhone 4 look GAY and Siri was revolutionary and the chip a5 is what iPhone 5 has I think?
