When does a Wi-Fi network start logging information?

I had some secure financial information that I was viewing on my iPhone over my personal network. Before saving my home, I deleted all of my browsing history and cookies. ( I accessed the settings/safari -and selected the appropriate options)

I went to my ex-wife's home (used to be my home) where my phone connected to her Wi-Fi network. While waiting to pick up my children for the weekend, I double clicked the button on my iPhone to close a few programs and noticed the financial information was still viewable on the safari screen. Will she be as to see that I visited that site if she pulls up her Wi-Fi log? She is a computer programmer and I honestly would not put it past her to view the log after I was there in order to try and get more cash from me. Any help would be appreciative.

Wi-Fi routers do not generally log information like that. It may have a log of what IP address it gave your phone but very unlikely that it keeps track of what sites you go to, let alone the content of those sites.

Computer programming is not the same as IT which is what you are referring to.

The most she will be able to see, if she knows what she's doing, is your Wi-Fi software. To check it yourself, go to Start | All Programs | Accessories and select Command Prompt. Type in this: ipconfig /all

Exactly like that. Look for Gateway address. It will be a number. Copy it and paste it into your browser and press Enter. That takes you to your router software. If it asks you for a password, ask your ISP for it. Have a good look around the software - there's no record of sites visited (she would need to go to your History file in Internet Explorer, or whatever your browser is).

You should delete all History files and Temporary Internet files, and keep that money in your pocket!
