When does my data plan reset?

I got my iPhone 5 on February 10th of this year. I'm on a 2 GB plan per month. I was wondering if my data resets at the 1st of every month, or at the 10th of every month. I can see … Show more

It usually resets whenever you started the plan, also if you make a MyVerizon account it will tell you when each "cycle" ends, which is when you get another 2GB for the month. Also to help monitor your data usage I would suggest using My DataManager, look it up on the App Store,

It depends on your bill cycle date. It doesn't matter when you get the phone. When is your bill due? Usually your data resets 6 days after your bill is due. For example, my bill is due on the 9th of every month, so I know my data resets on the 15 th. If you have at&t, just call #data (#3282) or Verizon is *3282 and it will tell you how much you've used and when it resets. Or just call customer service at 611 (or whatever their 800# is, You can usually find it automatically saved in your contacts) and they will gladly tell you.

All I've been doing since I got my iPhone is texting and looking at a few things on the internet but I'm always connected to my Wi-Fi.
  • What is data in a Verizon data plan? I just got an iphone 5 and am having some trouble. I know that data includes email, accounts and any internet websites (facebook, youtube, netflix). Does it use up data to have multiple internet browsers open even though I only look at one at a time? Is it possible to use up data when the phone is off? Also, is taking a picture, playing app games, listening to music, and siri considered to be "data" on the data plan? Is there an overall explanation for what a data plan is?
