When I connect my iPhone to itunes, will it delete everything?

I have never connected my iPhone to my computer but lately it's been acting up so I want to back it up and get the 5 in September if it's out. But I'am scared if I plug it into the computer, it will delete my videos and photos cause I didn't register it on my computer. I'm not a tech guy so yeah. If you guys can give me some instructions, that would be awesome.

Go to the Apple website.
Download the manual for your device.
Read it!

The cool thing about Iphones and Ipods is that they can also be used as a USB device of some sort. So plug it in, and before you do anything on itunes, treat is as if it's a USB. I don't know if you have a mac or pc, but I know on a pc you can choose to view the files in a folder. Hopefully it's the same on a mac. Then copy and paste them somewhere on your hard drive, add them to your library, and VOILA! Hope this helped!

  • When you do a Iphone backup from itunes does it DELETE Everything off your current phone? Ok i'm going to backup my iphone 5c tonight on through itunes does that delete everything? Cause i plan on getting a iphone 6s tomorrow and i don't want my phone to be totally wiped out before then!
  • My airpods won't connect to my iPhone but will connect to everything else I bought them from Apple and also my iPhone is from Apple (it's the 6 so it is about 4 years old). The thing is that my airpods connect to everything else. From one of the first iPad mini's to my macbook to an old iPhone 5S I have around my apartment to all of my parents and sisters Apple products, these airpods work fine. Then, the minute I attempt to connect it to my iPhone, they just don't work or if they do, they work for a couple of seconds and then stops.
  • May I delete everything on my iphone 4s once everything had been transfer to icloud? I have been a iphone user for almost three years and I'm going to trade in my 4s to get the iphone 5. Right now, I'm starting to figure out icloud work and it's a little bit confusing. So I want to know if it's okay if I can delete everything once my contacts, photos, and other stuff had been transfer? Because I do not want to lose my stuff and never get it back!
  • IPhone won't connect charge or connect to iTunes? Well… I'm no amateur when it comes to iPhones but this problem really has me stumped. I bought this phone and replaced the screen, the person i bought it off of couldnt remember the passcode so its disabled. I've tried putting it in dfu mode, recovery mode, etc. Still nothing. If i turn it off and leave it plugged in itll charge. I also put in a new charging port because i thought that was the problem. So i can't do anything with this phone… Any ideas?
