Really? Sprint will offer me 250 USD for my iPhone 4 no matter what condition it is in (cracked screen, won't boot, etc).

I know there are a lot of programs, chips etc you can use to unblock the network but say for example if the current owner of the phone has a recently purchased contract on the phone for 18 months, can it be unlocked without waiting them 18 month contract permanency?
