Where to buy a factory unlocked iphone?

Where is a reputable place to buy a factory unlocked iphone (no ebay please).It doesn't have to be the newest model but want a new or maybe used factory unlocked iphone.

A phone is not locked or unlocked per say. It needs to be activated & that is when a carrier turns your service on. It's just a fancy way of charging you a fee for "turning on" a switch.
Kind of like shipping & handling!

You can find both used and new unlocked iphones online at hundreds of websites.
A true unlocked phone will allow you to insert a sim card from any carrier, many people have done this since years ago ATT was the only carrier to offer and then verizon and others came down the road. Being able to chose any provider you want to should be your option as a customer and should not be locked in with any carrier.

ebay might be the best place to actually score a used one at a great price but then again you always run into people selling junk and not describing the items correctly. Craigslist you will always run into the same problem buying used. So if you go through CL locally always look for a brand new model at a discounted price.
