Which iPod/iPhone dock and speakers for dance class?
I teach modern dance and ballet in a huge high-ceilinged studio. I need to buy a new iPod/iPhone dock and speakers for less than $250.
Most important: The music must get loud enough to fill that huge room, and I need to be able to find the songs I want quickly. The system must be iPhone (4S) compatible.
Less important: Portable would be nice, but it's not essential.
Not important: I do not care about accessing the radio, nor do I need to adjust the EQ.
These are my questions:

I have a different amplifier and a Bluetooth receiver (about $50) that lets me link my iPod to the amp and keep control of the music in my hands. The Alesis doesn't list the output, but I imagine it's about 40 watts.
If you get the Alesis, or any other solution, from Zzounds, you can return it within 45 days if it doesn't work out.

- My ipod dock not compatible with iphone 4s I have a jbl radial ipod dock which worked with my classic ipod but the ipod broke and it won't accept my iphone, although it will chargeit it won't play music and it was expensive can i do anything to make the dock recognise my iphone? - IPod Nano vs iPhone dock connector? Can I use a dock connector from a 4th Generation iPod Nano or iPod Classic on an iPhone 3GS. I think the dock connector is the problem with the iPhone, and the iPod Nano and Classic have good connectors, but don't work. Could I just remove the connector from one and insert it in the iPhone? Or do they use slightly different connectors or something?
