Therefore it comes down to software.
If you like Android, go for the HTC. If you like iOS, go for the iPhone 5s.
Apple iPhones are expensive s***. I'll never get an iPhone after I bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. I never missed my iPhone 4 when I switched to Note 3. Go for an android phone. It has more features than iOS.
