Which is better an iphone or a Droid?

I been wanted the apple iphone ever since it came out. My mom went to go to a sale today and they ran out of iphones. She said that she doesn't know if she will be able to get me one for Christmas. I want the yellow iphone 5c so badly she asked if I would rather a droid instead because that what her and my dad our getting and I just don't know can someone give me a pro and con list about the iphone and droid.

I don't like Apple because of the compatibility issues that come with there products. Androids are cheaper too. Samsung Galaxy is very good

iOS is a sleek OS for non techies and lil kids who want a shiny gadget to show off.
You buy an android when you want customization, freedom and ability to do stuff and not be locked down by the OS or carrier.
iOS is sleek, yes I will admit that, but its also very basic, you can't customize anything and its like owning a car, but you don't have access to your engine, can't change your tires or put gas in your car.
With android you do whatever the heck you want, I rooted my phone, I moved all the Apps to SD, I have Flash, Tethering, Widget, Custom rom that allows new things and everyday developers are coming out with new stuff for android.
Basically IOS is good for anyone who don't know anything about phone and just want a shiny new gadget and look cool. Android is for a person who knows a bit about phones and want to customize it down to the way fonts look or how the screen slides.
