Which is better: iPhone 4S or HTC Desire?
Please make sure you read the entire post to know what is going on, don't laze up and respond without being filled in. Thanks!
I used to have Apple because back in high school I thought it was cool, but then I switched to android and have been an android user since then. Now that my contract is up, I need a new phone. Right now my funds are limited but I'm offered a free phone and it's between 2 options: the iPhone 4S and the HTC Desire. My fiance (this is his account; too lazy to log into my own account lol) wants the iPhone because he has never had one and he thinks it's better than android now (everyone gives him a week at the least before he switches; based on their opinion at least) but as for me I'm stuck in the middle. The last iPhone I had before I switched to android was the iPhone 3gs. I haven't reviewed all the specs between both phones but I'm really curious as to what you can all recommend is the better phone/iOS, because I hated having to use iTunes, but in this case, I'm somewhat biased and willing to give Apple a chance again but I'm also very unsure if I want to make this a final decision because I might miss using android if I stay with iPhone if I decide to make the wrong decision. Basically to say the least, I'M CONFUSED AND I NEED THE OPINIONS OF THE WORLD WIDE INTERWEB AS TO WHICH PHONE I SHOULD USE BEFORE I SCREW UP A 2 YEAR CONTRACT!
Honestly, iPhone has definitely improved. There's been a recent software update (iOS7), which is possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I've had 3 Android phones, a Blackberry, and this is my first iPhone. I hated all of my previous phones after about 4 months, but I've had this for over a year now and I still absolutely love it.
The App Store on iPhone is much 'cleaner'. The apps are better made and the App Store is moderated by Apple to ensure that only decent apps get on there.
Everything is much more simple, there's no cluttered homescreen with pointless widgets. Just a grid of streamlined, modern looking icons. Your notification centre is just a swipe down from the top, and your basic settings is a swipe up from the bottom. Weather and directions can be found in your notification centre, and all of the preinstalled apps will be useful to you in some way.
I have a 4S and the performance side is great. Nothing ever freezes, nothing ever lags, the battery is great (Once you get over the initial constant use that you get from a new phone).
iTunes connection is not necessary, as you only need to do this to sync your media to your computer, but now it's been updated it's much easier and less of a chore.
The camera is 8MP which is more than necessary for a phone IMO, so that won't be an issue.
AND ofc you get Siri, which is always a winner.
I've had a HTC before (Not desire, but same Android OS), and found it to be too cluttered with unnecessary things, and that's the main reason I dislike it.
- Which is better the Iphone 5s or the 5c i'm trying to decide which one is better? And what's the difference between these two phones can someone tell me please? I'm trying to decide which one to buy?
- IPhone 5s vs Galaxy S4 vs HTC M7, which one is better? I want to buy a new mobile phone, but the options are too many, does there have the expert can help me?
- IPhone 5 Vs Samsung Galaxy S3 Vs HTC Butterfly Vs HTC One X. Which is the best? I want the one which is the best one in terms of speed, display and sound quality and crispiness, gaming, hi res text, can play 1080p videos and more. I LEFT TO INCLUDE THE HTC ONE X+. IF THERE's ANY OTHER PHONE BETTER THAN THE ABOVE MENTIONED ONES THEN Please LET ME KNOW AND WHY. MONEY IS NOT AN ISSUE. I JUST WANT THE BEST SMARTPHONE IN THE WORLD. I WOULD ALSO ONE THAT HAS THE BEST BATTERY LIFE
- IPhone 4S display vs HTC One X display: which one is better? According to Apple and other sources, at 300 pixels per inch, the human eye can't distinguish between individual pixels, and with 326ppi, the Retina Display is comfortably over that 300ppi limit. But the HTC One X is 312ppi, also above the 300ppi limit, so does that technically make it a "Retina" display? (The One X also has a 1280x720 res while iPhone 4S has 960x640)
