Which is better: Samsung or iPhone?

I'll be purchasing my first cell phone within the next few weeks or so but I'm torn between the two brands. I want the Samsung Galaxy Note (2 or 3) or Samsung Galaxy S4 but I also want the iPhone (5s or 5c). I'm looking for long battery life and lots of features. Which one is the absolute best overall and which carrier between T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T is the best for either of these phones and why?

If you buy an iphone you can only share files with other apple phones.
whereas if you buy a samsung phone… You get to pair with any device via bluetooth…

But still my personal preference would b an phone… It is more renowned and just cool.

I prefer iPhone.

It all boils down to personal preference and your budget.

Both phones are good and it depends what you want to do with it, if you're starting out then iPhone would be better because it's easier to use. But some people prefer android because they aren't so restricted with apps and can "root" their phone and run the latest android OS.

The Apple iPhone 5S design looks pretty much the same as that of the iPhone 5, but it comes with multiple colour options. I like apple's products a little bit better because they're easier to use.

As you are confused between Samsung and Iphone, I would say both are world renowned brands. First of all, you have to decide between Android and Iphone operating system (iO), as both the phones are built on different platforms. If you want Android, go for Samsung otherwise, pick Iphone.
If talking worldwide, Iphone is much more popular than the Samsung and I would also suggest you to go in for the same.
Although, S4 is also a fully featured phone. So, you can choose any of them.
For further clarification, conduct search on Google for head to head competition of these phones.

I'm an iphone user of 5 years and getting ready to switch to samsung note 3, if you looking for long battery life, say good bye to it with iOS 7, for lots of features, both phones, but samsung edges out more. What you are looking for should be practical to what you use it for. I use an iphone for my business but sometimes its just rather too small of a screen for me to use, so i have my ipad 3 for that, and since the ipad 3 can handle some things i tend to do on iPhone, i'll use the Galaxy note 3/S4 to do 4G lte speed duty and multitasking, plus a larger screen and okay camera.

i think T-mobile would be best overall if you don't care much about data speeds and cheap plans. Verizon will have better faster coverage and options to what you need or don't.AT&T will just rob you of your money, but the phone insurance plan for 7.99 a month does come in handy if you drop your phone a lot.
