Which is more durable? Iphone 4s or 5?
With the new iphone 5 being much lighter, and not having the metal edging, would it be less durable than the 4s? Also, does one have a more fragile screen than the other?
No, the iPhone 5 is much more durable than the iPhone 4S (first iPhone that is durable). The only problem is the aluminum casing on the back is much more prone to scratches.
The iPhone 4S mainly suffered the most with the back because it was so fragile it would crack with the smallest drop. The front can usually survive a lot better and now the iPhone 5 which doesn't have as much glass on the back results in being a much more durable phone.
You can simply checkout the drop tests done with the iPhone 5 on YouTube. It's much more durable than even the Samsung Galaxy S III (which is the most fragile phone I've ever seen).
