Which item would sell better online or on craiglist?
I was planning to buy 50 iphone 6/6s cases for 90 bucks and resell or buy 100 bottles of cologne for 300 and resell. What do you guys think would be the better option?
The iphone cases are probably better value as most people, men and women use iphones. Only men might use the cologne.
None are worth selling on craigs list. The most useful items for that service is furniture - at yard sale prices - 1/4 the retail price. It is more important that it be something people often buy, and need to replace, or don't buy very often, or are not commonly found in stores today. Of course, you need to know it's value to the guy on the street. Outdated TVs, radios (using tubes), or consoles - are worth a fraction of their value - more as furniture than the radio or record player they used to be - costs more to operate today, than when they were popular.
There are much better places to sell your used technology like http://www.gazelle.com where you can easily get rid of your older devices, after an upgrade.
Craigslist is not where you expect to make money (profits) - only a bad place to get rid of unwanted items, to make a little cash in the process. It you obtained the merchandise for free, you could make money, but normally, no. It is also for selling a single item - not many items. If you plan to sell many items get an amazon account and sell there. Ebay and Craigslist are not for new items, buy for getting bargain prices on old stuff.
